JOE HALL'S CREOLE STORY -- a film documentary

Joe Hall's film "A Creole Story" explores the unique history of a Louisiana style of music called "creole" and its impact on his community, as well as the audiences throughout the world.   Growing up in a family of musicians within a area of many mixed cultures, created a fertile ground for Joe to become an accomplished accordion player and band leader.   His story is truly an American phenomenon of diversity, brought to Louisiana through a history of bondage as well as freedom, only to see it develop into a art form seemingly natural to the bayou's and prairies of SW Louisiana.  This film is supported by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz and History Foundation, as well as the fund-raising efforts of Fruge Records and individual donations.   Please consider helping us out by making your own donation below.
